Old English Apples.

by trixie

Oh why can't we have some of these wonderful apples in the shops. All we get are tastless ones or ones that feel all fuffy in the middle. I long for a crispy apple.
These are grown at Clumber Park, near Nottingham, they have lots of rare apples growing. Lets hope one day we will see them in the shops.

Interesting shot Trixie. I agree with you about apples in the shops. We have some old varieties growing in our garden, such as Ellison's Orange (best apple you've ever tasted), Tom Putt (cider apple) and Ashmead's Kernel (late apple with a russet skin that tastes a bit like a pear).

Best wishes
