Lovely contrasting textures between the encaustic tiles, the weathering sandstone with a little (copper?) staining &, of course, top-left-centre, a little spot of rust.
Stone & iron really don't mix, do they?

Glad you like it, Roger. This is an insignificant little corner, tucked away down an alletway but some old Victorian craftsman and architect had taken the trouble to make something of it.
