There Goes Another Oak Tree

Here is the promised black squirrel, denizen of Queen's Park, Toronto
Fairly pleased with this photo, taken with new Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro (the less expensive version), specially since it was taken at 300mm, ISO 2500. T, 15% crop. This lens is reputedly worthless at this focal length, but not for my purposes (not for printing at large sizes). Anyone else out there with this lens care to comment on how they like it?
