One Snow Hill, Birmingham

Photo Information
Birmingham is rapidly becoming a showcase for modern architecture. Even the building number is a feature. The green lawn, believe it or not, is the tramline between Birmingham and Wolverhampton !

Unfortunately, most of the impact of this is lost due to the white background of this site. Some have a grey background like the one this was originally edited upon, when the edges of the image can be made out rather than getting totally lost

I must get to Birmingham you've just demonstrated that there are more fascinating pictures to be taken as well as Selfridges.

I think you are referring to John Lewis' new grotesquerie over the railway station at New Street? You are absolutely right about the photographic opportunities in general, however, whether they are knocking it all down or rebuilding, there are pictures everywhere. Perhaps Simon Mac might guide a bunch of us around if we asked.

I have a soft spot for Birmingham which harks back to the 60s. We came over to eat at Purnell's about four years ago which now sounds very extravagant. Interesting shot.

Thanks Paul. The place is changing out of all recognition. It's becoming a photographer's treasure chest
