Madame Cardinal's Winter Plumage

The female of the Cardinal species is less brilliant than her counterpart, but still quite striking. Taken from my kitchen window.

Been taking these recently posted bird (and squirrel shots) with my newly acquired Pentax 55 - 300 WR lens. All shots have been taken through my house windows which is most likely effecting the sharpness.

For the most part, I am quite pleased with this lens considering it's caliber.

Keep them coming! I have the same 55-300mm lens and found it can at times produce really sharp detailed pictures; that it doesn't more often is probably down to me rather than the lens.
