Bittern at York

by davidtrout

The vintage express steam loco Bittern worked a high speed special train from London to York last weekend to take part in a line up of all six surviving A4 class engines. Its part of the celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of Mallard claiming the world speed record for steam power (126mph) in 1938.

A pleasing 3/4 view, interesting to see how much smoother (and reflective) she looks in your shot compared with mine at not-to-disimilar settings (of course, the difference being K5/K10 and the speed of the engine).
