New meets old

two samples of engineering perfection - 150 years inbetween but they fit together
BTW - I went out for this shoot during the semifinal of the German team during the world Championship - I wanted to see Frankfurt nearly deserted

Nice shot Alex, pity they didn't clean the nose cone for you Nice refelctions along the train work well with the platform to give a great perspective

Quite like the shot Axel, though IMO it's not one of your best (perhaps the train is a little too much in the bottom corner?). Love your explanation - perhaps I should be hoping that Sri Lanka (and not England, or else I will have to watch it!) get to the cricket World Cup final next February. The streets of Colombo would be deserted.

BTW that's a weird focal length - 23.12!!!

I like this shot as it is, with dirty nose cone...
I like the reflection on the side of the train and the composition as the train runs out in the distance. Well done.

Really like the dynamic composition of this! Your subtle HDR really brings out such detail and great colours. The juxtapsoition of old and new styles of engineering works so well
