Neon Girl

by johnriley

This picture of Linzi was an accident. The original resulted from a print where a colour was blocked on the printer. But I actually liked the result, so went back into Photoshop and recreated the effect. Later I found a website, long forgotten now, that was full of images with a similar approach to colour. I only ever did the one this way, but I still like it.

How did you re-create this effect in PShop? What path did you follow?.....Such accidents are very useful!

I can't tell you what I did then, but if I were to try it again I'd start with the colour balance or channel mixer options. The original mistake was an absence of one colour, so it should be simple to try them until the right one can be deducted. Then maybe exaggerate levels to make the colours more intense.
Best regards, John
