An icon in the U.S., the Gateway Arch is an absolutely elegant structure. It is a catenary (not a parabola) that has a triangular cross-section and an all stainless-steel skin. At 630 feet, it is the highest free-standing arch in the world.
Because it is a catenary, it is really one continuous curve that offers many opportunities for unique photo designs.
This first photo is a look at the arch through some trees for perspective. The little dark rectangles on what looks like the left side are windows at the actual top center of the arch.
