This is true and they also do this when standing in water fishing, nice shot, love the colours.

I had to look at this for a few moments Ed, before I realized what I was looking at. It is an excellent shot, with good definition and a very unusual pose by the bird, well captured

Not my favourite bird after one cleaned out our pond but have to agree a cracking shot with the Heron in very unusual pose.
