Mono Mushrooms

by Cliff-P

I`ve never been satisfied with any mono conversions when it comes to Fungi they just don't seem to take to it well!. This one seems to be the exception for some reason but I would appreciate your thoughts.

I like this one, but I prefer the colour version. This one seems to have lost some detail in the shadow areas. Both are great images, just my preference

I really like this, I really like the strong contrast and the detail in the gills

Down to the dark blue filter used for the conversion Jim! I think I prefer the colour version as well tbh

Cheers guys.

Works well in mono, allowing you to explore the shape and texture. To be honest the lack of some shadow detail doesn't detract for me; you could tweak the curves to try and reveal a bit more. Just a thought.
