Dreaming the real face (1)

by captainbert

I haven't been on here in a long time. Nice to get back.
This is a double exposure shot on the K5. It was taken in the woods and had some colour adjustment in Lightroom along with a bit of grain added.

A fascinating effect.

Well captainbert [Garbhán Myles] glad to see you are back and contributing. Three really, really well taken shots in your gallery. This photograph result is a process that we film lovers use by doubling up negatives in the enlarger or reroll an already taken film through the camera again. It's hit and miss for us. The use of digital is not known to me, so I am not sure of the difficulty involved. However, your result here is superb. It has an ethereal quality and could step out of a Fantasy Movie as a still. Hope to see more from you. Good fortune.

@garysummers - Many thanks for the welcome back and the kind words! Well i have all the respect in the world for you film shooters who work with multiple exposures. I'm sure it's more challenging than digital for sure. With the K5 (and K3) you have the ability to line things up using liveview for composing ( i didn't with this shot as tis a selfie done in the woods).

I was going through your imagery on here and on Flickr, tis truly amazing. It's mighty soulful, deeply atmospheric and very inspiring. Much respect.

Thanks very much again for the kind words.
