Wistful Teenager

by davidstorm

My son Ben, shot yesterday as we sat outside having home-made Pizza from my wood-fired Pizza oven.

Temperature reached 30 Celsius yesterday, a record for October in England.

Taken with a recent purchase, an old M42 S-M-C Takumar 135mm f3.5 which is a superb lens for portraits.

Good focus on eyes...and good natural colours. In Italy we think at England as a raining country with cold, snow...ice(like Germany)but in these last century Europe has changed its face. We are all Italians eating Pizza and enjoing pleasure of hot weather. The last step is to wear our homes in the same way....buying at Ikea!!!I'm joking....but....!!!!(By the way: today Florence: 32,5°C...I'm getting bored...)

You are right Giulio, England is a raining country with cold, snow and ice. The summer here has been cold and windy, but for some reason in September / October it gets hot! I love home-made Pizza from the wood oven, just like you have in Italy!!

Best wishes, David
