Iron Cross

Good evening, Andrew.

If you had altered your view-point so that the Cross didn't break into the tree shape,
how would it otherwise have affected the image?

IMHO it would have been better if it didn't.

I like this compo, Andrew, as it is! However, I think what Brian suggested would have changed the low angle and produced a top-down effect. May be I'm wrong, that's what I surmised from what I see here.

Thanks for looking and thingking and commenting, chaps. I agree with what you say, Brian, I noticed it at the time but it's so much more noticable in two dimensions! The problem was, the church yard stands some five feet six inches(don't know what that is in foreign measurements, Nezih!) above road level (medieval flood defence!) So I was too low to get the ideal angle. As Nezih says this would have changed the low viewpoint. Not sure how much this would have affected the shot.
