Rather too much emphasis on the sky me thinks.

Re emphasis - this image is a cornucopia of textures - the sky adds a needed softness to the squared off rough edged general image - like it! - t

Works for me. The softness in the sky contrasts well with the sharp edges and the roughness of the cobblestones.

I like this very much.
Best wishes,

A good interesting sky as well as painting on the house's wall

Very good composition, with nice balance between man made constructions and skies. This almost has an HDR look to it, interesting tonal palette.

You said... "Rather too much emphasis on the sky me thinks".
I say you are too self critical !
The comments above say it all - it's a great composition and quite frankly if you didn't have the sky there what would you have ?
It also breaks the compo into two triangles fulfilling one of the basic design rules ?

As the others said - well done !

Best regards

Outstanding image. Great point of view that gives huge visual impact to the cobbles and the painted side of the building.

The more I look at it the more I like it.

Have stood in that spot many times but have never seen it devoid of humanity before.

St Michael's seems to have it's own special skies - no such thing as too much sky on a shot at the mount.

Nicely done

The sky is a very important part of this wonderful shot!
