I love these little corners of strangeness in the world. You said.....an ambience of unease. I think you have it right....Great.

I like that if you stare into the mist you can begin to make out some objects and trees obscured in the distance.

That's great... Softness vs pointy ness... Lovely shapes and relationships between them... The branches are almost bending down to talk to the grass...
