Perth Cemetery

I took this picture, with a K110D, a couple of years ago on our honeymoon.
Perth Cemetery is in the Ypres Salient, Belgium.
When I took the shot I had in mind a post-production process to give it a 1920/30's look to it as it would have looked just after the wooden crosses were replaced with the headstones.

Many thanks everyone, its one of my favourite shots.
GIULIO57 - You could be right! However, my wife and I collect & research WW1 medals and have had a long interest in the Great War. I even proposed to her at the Menin Gate in Ypres.

Ieper (Ypres) itself is quite a wonder as it is only in recent years that the city's rebuild, following its WW1 destruction, was completed. On the day I visited, some years ago, the sun was shining, which helped in some small way to combat the sadness felt when visiting the battlegrounds. It must be very depressing on a grey day.

Paul - We've been quite a few times, mainly to visit the grave of my great uncle (Edward Swain) who is buried at the Menin Road South Military Cemetery; his brother, William, is buried down in Holnon, France.
Ypres is a lovely town and I always feel at home there.
