Misty Lake
Photo Information
Taken late this afternoon at Grasmere in the Lake District as the clouds closed in and the atmosphere became heavy. Subtle HDR from 3 exposures (-1, 0 & +1 EV). De-saturated the colours, little else done to this except the HDR and a very tiny amount of sharpening.

nice pic. sums up the time of the year perfectly. I like the contrast levels, lets you see the details in the background and the water - upping the contrast would lose the detail too much.

Thanks Peter, the lack of contrast was intentional on this shot - as well as losing details it would have detracted from the misty autumn look.

Lovely shot, David. I like the autumn misty look. It's easy to focus on the oranges and yellows - but autumn is a great time for moodier shots
