Stones Mono

by AndrewA

Mono version of the Cannon Brewery shot.
I have called it Stones as that is what was brewed there for part of its life as a brewery.

Hi Andrew, I thought I would prefer the B&W version but I actually prefer the colour version.

Still a nice gritty shot though.

Hi Andrew,

The colour version is more striking. Nice shot.

Thanks for showing us the mono, Andrew.

Some of the detail in the shot is pretty sharp whereas I think I was re-imagining your picture as less sharp and probably a bit grainy.

I possibly fall into the cliche/trap of picturing industrial settings in mono (It's Grim Oop North and all that).

Is that an added effect on the clouds at the top of the building?

Strangely Peter the cloud effect was straight there in the mono conversion, not too sure what is going on there.
I think it needs a lot more grain to make it work as a mono shot.
