Silver Jubilee Bridge, Merseyside

by newbiek50user

This bridge, between Runcorn and Widnes, Merseyside - originally opened in 1961 to replace the old Transporter system - was closed for refurbishment a couple of years ago when the Mersey Gateway was opened as a toll route. I took this photo on the 26th February, the day before it was re-opened - this time also as a toll bridge.
