Thanks Paul! I must add that the red colour on the image above is called "Trønder Rødt", implying that is a special nuance of dark red very common in the Trøndelag counties in the middle of Norway. It has for centuries been the number one colour choice for farmhouses, barns, boathouses, wharves, etc.
