Black Scorpion

by petrochemist

I've finally had a play with my bellows. This ugly fellow was taken in the kitchen using a 1930's Kodak Anastigmat lens 12cm f 4.5, converted to PK mount using a body cap.
To improve DOF several photos have been stacked using CombineZM.

Glad we don't have scorpions in our kitchen! Interesting. Do you feel it was worth all the effort?

Whilst I'm rather disappointed in the results so far (The lighting needs considerable improvement to get any detail in the black). It's been worth it for the learning experience.
Especially as it turns out that this lens is likely to be one of my better options when I get my UV filters. (No coatings and a simple 4 element design with minimal glass to absorb UV) It might even be small enough to work with the 25mm filters I'm about to order for work
