After Dark In Yosemite

Yosemite update. We left the Yosemite area a few days ago, and have not had access to WIFI for a few days. OK, the Ansel Adams Gallery workshop was a good experience; they covered the zone system and in particular capturing texture and the different types of light and how this can affect tone and shape. Despite having done some research on locations within Yosemite, we were shown a few that I did not know of and would have not found so easily without the guidance. I will be posting a whole host of info on my blog with images when I get back home to the UK. Yosemite is a photographic gold mine, there’s just so much to photograph, and you could spend 3 months here and still miss things. Sadly despite the freezing temperatures, there was very little snow and the skies were sunny and blue every day we were there, but we made best use of what we had. However, we did hike to some great locations and I am sure we will have some great images, but in the meantime, here is one I took at night on the way out of the valley which I was really pleased with. I don’t think I have seen so many stars before. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and have a great new year.
