Stanhope Moors

by morpheus71

Looking down the East Whiteley Burn as transient light falls upon Steward Shield Meadow near Whiteley Rigg.

Bells Hill and Hope Head lie beyond - with Longlaw End and Bolts Law being the 500 metre high ridges in the far distance.

Many thanks Giulio l am ever drawn to theatrical transient dappled light on the hills. This seemed a most pleasant stage for such ephemeral lighting. Rather a high wind chill at 400m a.s.l. but I was too absorbed to be bothered by the cold breeze until the light burst had faded

Magical, muted pastel like colors and the POV was spectacular. Excellent production -- thanks Tony

The theatrical spot light and the sinuous curve of the beck's valley seemed worthy of a dash down to this spot. It seemed to conatin the essence of what appealed to me about those moors
