"I 2 Vecchi"

Photo Information
"I 2 Vecchi" mirror translation: "Two Old"....because Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) on the left and Palazzo Vecchio (on the right) are the two most important buildings in this town. They're both named "Vecchio(old)". Ponte Vecchio is a medieval segmental arch building. Well known for its jewelery shops. Palazzo Vecchio is the town-hall (Lord Major bureau). River Arno splits Florence into two different areas.I took this picture a few days ago when possible again to have a walk inside Florence after lockdown ended. Camera PENTAX K 20D and Pentax Zoom 55-300m. Mini-Tripod by DORR very useful and light. Five different piccies merged together in HDR PhotoMatix (fused).

HDR has been very useful to recovercolor and details of red building in foreground. It appeared as a black silhouette. So I preferred to give HDR a go. (Perhaps) it worked fine.

Yes...at this moment all regione Toscana is YELLOW (low risk) so it has been possible to "live"again. In Italy we have 3 different color codes: yellow=low risk; orange=medium; red=high. Goal is to reach white code (under yellow): very low risk. Don't know when and if it will happen. Anyway also 2021 will be a very bad year. In yellow areas we have a few restrictions only: night curfew, restaurant closed at 6pm, not possible to reach different coloured areas (red-orange)......Besides that: forbidden to go back to a normal life

Lovely view of my favourite Italian city. Lucky enough to visit there on business with Italian railways and then a second time for a weeks holiday with my wife. Looking forward to visiting again when we are free to travel.

HDR would have been my choice for this shot also! Nice one Giulio!

Super shot Giulio. I loved spending time in Florence. Beautiful, beautiful city. Hope to go back there someday when all this mess is sorted out. Italy is one of my favourite countries.
Thank you for your posts to my pictures as and when I post them. Much appreciated and I am happy for any critique you may wish to pass on. Feel free to PM me if you are reluctant to give negative feedback in public. I'm always looking to improve. There is a HDR function in the Lightroom Classic CC that I have, I will give this HDR function a try. Were these long exposure shots?
