A Woodland Dream

Photo Information
Over the last few days I have been visiting a local bluebell wood at different times of the day as work has permitted.. Along with various "normal" shots, panos etc., I tried a couple of different approaches
I started by attaching an 8 stop ND filter to my sigma 50-150 f2.8 lens (on a K3) and taking a couple of long exposures, (45s and 75s approx.) to capture wind movement of the beech leaves. I then blended these two shots, then added a bit of soft-focus glow and a bit of vignetting and there we have it!

Bluebell woods are magical - you've captured it.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Well executed. Nice to see a 'big' ND filter used on a subject other than water. It works very well here.

Thank you for all the kind comments...I would like to try a few more long exposures with an ND filter as I liked the way this turned out...the location is actually Itchen Woods, next door to Micheldever woods near Winchester in Hampshire

Ah yes - may sound strange, but looks familiar to me. I went into this wood a few years back and think I have a piccy of the same foreground tree; if not, then very similar! The bit I went into was the little triangle just west of the M3

The sweeping organic flow of the branches and leaves works very well as a juxtaposition to the recession of the linear graphic form of the trunks. Inviting and ensconcing. Bravo!
