Four Colours and a Lonely Tree

Photo of the Week

Photo Information
Camera PENTAX LX on tripod and PENTAX Zoom 40-80 mm (on 80 mm). Kodak slidechrome (scanned on EPSON Perfection 3200) 100 ISO Ektachrome HC (set 125 ISO). F16. Shutter Speed: 1/60s. Mirror blocked-up; shutter release cable to avoid vibrations. This is the photo that you can look at through clipping-mask of my previous upload named”Greetings post-card from Val d’Orcia”. In that work it was possible to look at the original capture through block letters in foreground layer. The green was enough but useful to fill the complete height of that work. Showing the single capture I decided to cut a part of green off…using a special and useful feature of CS5 Photoshop: Content Aware (scaling down I should add). I hope to satisfy your taste and rules of compo in photography. Anyway you already know the lonely tree: my fav tree in Val d’Orcia, close to Pienza; you have seen it in many different ways through my works in these years. PS Sorry if I don’t often upload my piccies on PUG but I suppose it is right so.

MANY THX to everyone .You all decided to make this capture "Photo of the Week"

A magical photo Giulio!
I was stupid enough to let an LX slip through my hands on eBay a few weeks ago! Instead of 'buying it now' I placed an offer, at exactly the same time that somebody else was placing a better offer! I can't forgive myself for letting a camera in such great condition and at such a great price pass me by - idiot!!

in the "USATO" section(usato means second hand) lives a PENTAX LX at 385 Euros (serial N° 5279786). This is my fav shop and you could write a msg to the owner (I know very well him: he is honest...I bought all my PENTAXs in his shop)
