Precision engineering

The first main steam loco to be built in Britain since 1960 is the A1 Class 'Tornado' which received massive publicity in the UK on its first public runs.
This is a detail of the right hand side big end and eccentric rod taken in 2008 when the loco was under construction at Darlington.

Well taken David, superb detail. Wonderful English engineering, Brunel, Stephenson, Watt and co would be impressed I wonder what records would be like if those brilliant guys had digital?

Excellent detail, and I would just like to say to Cedric that is was James Watt a Scotsman who invented it, but then I'm a bit bios as he came from Greenock and so do I.
