Ladybird & Poppy Leaf

Photo Information
I've made myself a new flash diffuser from Pringles tubes that fires diffused flash at the subject from two directions in an attempt to get the lighting more even. This is one of the first shots with the new setup - what do you think?

It enables me to use narrow apertures of F16 / F18 and still get plenty of light.

Really nice, David. I've tried the Pringles diffuser, but haven't got anything as good as this.

Thanks Chris, this one's a bit of a cunning design but it only works with the Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro (MF) lens as the two opposing light sources are positioned exactly at the end of the lens when it is extended to its maximum for Macro work. It took some making and looks a bit ungainly but it definitely gives better light.

We've got loads of them Shaun and loads of Damselflies too. I've let a part of the garden go to wildflowers and grass and this attracts the insects. Ordinary flowers would help though
