Nicely done! Framing and cropping works for me as does the predominance of yellow and green tones. Retention of good detail without being critically sharp imbues the image with an appealing softness that complements the subtle texture of the petals and imparts a great sense of depth to it. Some may feel that the image is underexposed, but, from a creative perspective, it works for me as is

A B+W version of the same image would be worthwhile, IMO.
Cannot but agree with your assessment, prsjnb.
I've done a mono conversion...not totally happy with it as i think it lacks impact compared to the colour even with a bit of further tweaking from the balance I settled on.
I may post tomorrow...not sure yet.
