Wood Bone

Wood Bone

by GIULIO57

Lens Pentax 12-24 on 12mm. The white wood lying on the seashore attracted my attention. It brought my mind in the past when this lake was a volcano and giant reptiles lived on this earth. Is it a bone?...I imagined! No, it isn’t! Black sand is due to volcanic origin of this lake, that is very deep thus giving to water a dark hue. I converted the original colour-file into BW to enhace contrast between the black sand and the white of “wood-bone”. Sky and clouds helped me in this choice.Place: Lake of Bolsena-Italy.

Great shot Giulio. Well structured and great range of tones.
Best wishes,

Giulio, another good one- I think that your images speak for themselves but I really like and appreciate the words you put with them.
