It is lovely David, the candle gives such a lovely warm light, did you use any other form of lighting ?
Maria, there was some dim ambient lighting in the room, without this I think the shadows cast by the candle would have been too harsh. I did make an error though - I think I shot this with the wrong lens. My SMC Takumar 135 F3.5 would have produced a better result as it is sharper and has better out-of-focus effects than the 55-300mm.

Love it but, the Christmas candle somewhat reduces the seriousness of the shot. Plain candle would have been better I feel. How's that for being fussy?
I thought the christmas candle would add a seasonal feel to the shot - however I tend to agree having read your comment. Thanks very much for taking the trouble to add your thoughts.
