In The Fort

by davidstorm

Sorry to anyone who looked at a previous image similar to this that I deleted tonight. The other one was of me, but I wasn't happy with it as the exposure was wrong. This one is my wife Nicky and I've given it a 'barely colour' treatment that I thought suited the location. Anyone who's been to this location, i.e. the Fort that overlooks Kotor in Montenegro wil know it's a tough climb, 1,000 feet up a mountain. We did it in midday, which is probably the worst time to attempt it in the boiling mid-summer heat!

I like this, like the way the stonework is shown and the beams, with the dark corner behind Nicky leaving a mysterious air.

Thanks Malcolm, I like this one too, not sure why it hasn't had more views. It's funny how you post an image and it has the opposite effect to what you expect!
