Just about to leave a local bird hide and this fellow came and sat right in front of us. Not only that but Grandson was with me to share the experience, we were over the moon.

Beautifully captured. This is a relative of our native Kookaburra. however The Kingfisher is much more colourful.

I've been back to the same place several times since but with know luck but that all adds to the thrill of wildlife photography.
