Brilliant shot, apart from the top right corner which I'd be tempted to remove. Other than that, I love it!

I wondered about the beam in the top right, but decided it mirrored the rail/pit on the bottom left!

I have done a few b and w conversions on this and others taken at the same time....

You are the master of atmosphere with your railway photography!

The roof beam in the top right corner should stay as it adds to the smoky and enclosed feel of the place.

Agreed, it is part of the shape of the picture...
