Derwent Dam overflow

Photo Information
The water was flowing fast over the top of Derwent Dam.

It is a fantastic sight to see (and hear).

One can really feel and almost hear the thunderous, rushing force of this rapid flowing water. The flanking heavy stone castle towers bolster this presentation. The darkened grey sky and clouds also do their part, adding to the overall depiction of weightiness.

I also like the monotoness of the upper half spilling out into color in the lower half.
Cheers...Donna 😊

Nice composition and good exposure. I've not seen a shot of the overflow before.

I'm assuming that with record rainfall these past few weeks our reservoirs must be full.

Great drama George, it must have been quite an experience to be there.
