Did your camera come with a CDROM.

It should have some basic editing tools like Crop.

No, afraid it did not come with one.(Second hand).I shall go on internet and see if I can get hold of one. Thanks for your advice. Ken

PicMonkey is free online editing, it has a cloning tool which would easily clone out the dark patch, just type PicMonkey in to google you can add contrast, lighten and darken, sharpen and much more

Again thanks for input. My age is showing, I cropped it on the camera, after doing the right thing and reading the manual.I shall try that site Maria. Ken
