Yes, i am looking for a new lens as well. Been tossing around this one at 17 - 70 and the Sigma 17 - 50. Seven years now using a kit lens, I've not done too bad, but it's way past time to move on and replace it!!!!

Thank you all for your kind comments, it is always nice to know that someone likes looking at one of my images!

This particular shot got 'Explored' on Flickr yesterday and has so far received about 10,000 views. I have to say it looks better on Flickr than it does here, due to the bigger image size and it's quite a bonus to get one in Explore. It's the second one I've had in the last 4 images I've uploaded there (I'm not a prolific poster of images), I don't really know what that means other than someone thinks they are OK

There's the 'W' hotel again - quite a landmark! It certainly provides an interesting backdrop to this lovely shot!
