Tranquility

Photo of the Week by davidstorm

Another take on a scene from Ullswater, which featured in a previous upload from a week ago. This one is shot with the K-5iis and Pentax-M 28mm F3.5 lens, a fantastic combination and one of my favourites.

This particular image has been explored on Flickr and might possibly end up on one of my walls at home!

I like them all; but you already know that.

I like this one even better than I liked the first version. I certainly would be proud to mount this in my home, David. By the way, I also have a 70's era Pentax M 28mm, but mine is an F2.8. Both nice pieces of glass.

Yes - feel more refined this version, delicate light and warmth - order the print now before you change your mind!

You got lucky with the (lack of) contrails, Lake District seems to be under a major flight corridor, last few times I was at that spot my skies were full of them.

Hi All

I'm a bit taken aback by the reaction to this one, not only on here but on Flickr too, where it have received over 800 favourites so far, that's about 4 times more than any of my other images have ever received.

Very many thanks to you all and to PU for selecting this as 'photo of the week', it's good to feel motivated by photography again!

Best wishes
David

It's well deserving of the attention David! Gorgeous soft light with subtle shades of tone, nice symmetry and it conveys a real sense of tranquility.
