Butterfly Mt Takao Japan

by JamesWillmott

This was a case of being in the right place, at the right time, with the right camera and lens! This was a one-off shot only. I used a Pentax K10D with a Pentax DA 50-200 lens at 200mm. Shutter speed 1/350 second at f6.7 hand held with shake reduction turned on. I think the butterfly is from the family 'Danaidae' with the Japanese name 'Asagi-Madara'. It has a wing span of approximately 12cm. The image has been sharpened slightly and a vignette applied, using Apple Aperture.
