Steam at Whitby

by davidtrout

I split my time between the Whitby Goths Festival and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on Saturday. Here there's not a steam punk in sight, instead a British Rail Class 4MT 'Mogul' running alongside the River Esk with a train for Pickering.

That's a really nice portrait.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Your right David, not a steam Punk but rather a steam hunk. I'm trying to fathom out where you were for the shot which is a great viewpoint.

Best regards

There's a riverside path (beside the Esk) which runs from the car park near Whitby Station to Ruswarp. It was along there near the by pass road bridge.

Always nice to see shots of "my" railway! Proud to be their longest serving non-UK based member!

That's a proud record to hold Paul. The NYMR is an outstanding railway
