A very good shot with the kit lens. It's actually almost capable of Macro. It's also very good for flower images - it renders the colours very strongly.

I like the composition in this image.

I've tried hard this year to get a good pic of a Ladybird, but you would never see them in the Gallery , yours is lovely.

Thank you JD and Maria. I wouldn't like to tell you how many I've discarded !
The difficulty I have is finding insects where the background foliage is far enough away to make a pale or unfussy background. I spend a lot of time grubbing around in ditches here I find lots of insects, but then there is always the undergrowth.
Lost importantly, I've found some sort of support essential though many are hand held out of necessity.

I've always had my suspicions about ladies rummaging around in ditches but now I'm much wiser! The Blondin effect! Love it!
