Looking for insects to photograph has made me much more observant and it's a good way of learning about them. These creatures don't move about too quickly which makes them easier to capture.

That's a beautiful sharp shot and what an unusual Bee, very well taken, that lens seems pretty good, i'm still looking for a shorter macro lens.

Lovely picture Sally, I like the compostion and sharpness. I've commented before that often the macro shots taken further out like this one are more attractive than the extreme close-ups as they give more scope for composition.

The most difficult thing to decide when taking this kind of shot is what to keep in focus, so sometimes it takes several goes.
It's horribly addictive, and I spend more time than I should in the ditch

Nice sharp shot, beauty colours and well managed DOF. I like the nice blurred green background.
I took some shots of the left bug but I haven't seen the right one. Thanks for sharing with us.
