The Guardians of the Tower

Photo Information
Figures on one of the towers of Alnwick Castle, Northumberland.

The original stone figures (2 on the right and one partly hidden on the left) were put in place to frighten the invading Scots (even before the SNP !) in the hope they would think the castle was well fortified !

Later figures were erected several centuries later and are bronzes brought back from tours in Italy.

K50 + DA18-135WR, hand held.
