The Last Light of Christmas Eve

The Last Light of Christmas Eve

Photo Information
“The wind was off shore, and only broke the sea's surface in to long, silvery ripples, and sent sheeny shadows flying out across it, from every point and headland, like transparent wings. ...”

(L.M. Montgomery, Anne's House of Dreams)

The last light on Christmas Eve falls upon the wet sands of Goodrington Beach in Torbay. Berry Head is the distant blurred headland.

It's a very calming image and would look beautiful on a plain white wall!

Great spot. I wouldn't even have taken a camera out on a day like this.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew the soft light on the wet sand seemed to have appeal to me, so I was curious to try the organic nature of panning a long exposure

If this had been a pastel painting, I'd have liked it.

As it is a photograph, I'm really impressed.
