Twelfth Night ice lanterns in Paakki

Photo Information
In the village of Paakki, Sotkamo, Finland, there is a 23 years old tradition to decorate the roads and paths and houseyards by ice lanterns that villagers have made by frost during 1-2 months. This time there were several thousands of lanterns and maybe the same amount of visitors in the village of a few hundreds of villagers. What a show!

The low point of view works very well, making the result even more dramatic.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
