Sorry to say Ron but both of your initial posts seem not to be very sharp. I always sharpen before posting as photos do seem to lose some of their clarity during the upload process.
Only ever experienced Wisconsin during the autumn, which was quite beautiful.

Thanks for the feedback.
Not sure really what was going on in those photos. I seem to be shooting at times when it is just too dark for me and/or the gear to "see" clearly.
EXIF shows a really odd shutter speed too: 83333/500000 which is just a miss of 1/60 of a second.
Frankly I thought that is was just me missing my all glass primes on my old film cameras. Particularly my Yashika TL Electro X with 50MM f1:1.4. It always produced razor sharp images on film.
I think I am getting sharper images with my Tamrom 70-300 than I am with the 18-55MM WR Pentax.
But before I blaime the equipment I need to spend some serious time actually checking to see if I have a lens issue or an operator issue.
