This looks wonderful - nice reflection, and subtle colours on the ice with a well chose 'framing' in the foreground

Rannoch Moor has got to be one of Britain's finest wilderness areas and justly widely visited by photographers. You've done it proud with this one David.

Lucky it didn't get tucked away without us seeing it!

Thanks everyone, this is an old one, but was worth digging out. The colours on the ice were due to the fact that the temperature had risen, causing a film of water to form above a layer of thick ice. I don't think the conditions would be like this very often.

An elegant and visceral study of the wild. You have captured the essence of being in the vast and beguiling Rannoch Moor. Wonderful lighting and a sense of mystery with the swathe of cloud not showing all of the mountain range beyond. Great immersive photography indeed 😊
