Chuck says goodbye

Photo Information
Here the last photo of the chameleon series. We wanted to make a long distance hunt photograph but as there was no branch nearby to put the grasshopper on, chucks owner was holding it in his hand.
The tongue came so quick and sudden that he was still holding it, when it hits the prey and as the glue on the tongue is not endlessly strong, it came back without prey. We then positioned it back on the lower branch and Chuck could easily grab it.
Next photos will be different ones again

Still it's a good shot, Axel! There are many misterios characteristics of this fascinating creature, two toes on each leg, a tail that grabs like a monkey's for instance.
Thank you for sharing the series!
Regards,
Nezih

Hmmm - at least not during our shots - I can ask its owner if he ever observed that
