Stanley.

Photo Information
Just recently found this piece of Wall-art, whilst walking around the backstreets of Bishop Auckland, Co.Durham. I was shooting further up the street and thankfully walked in this direction ( Chester St. ) I knew of the statue of Stanley in the town centre but knew nothing of this building, so it was a pleasant surprise for me. Being a big fan of Stan & Ollie, i hope to see another piece of wall art but with them both together.

Nice picture and subject..."why didn't you crop the pic"? said Stan to Ollie..."car was mine.....ohohoh"replied Ollie. PS...I hope you don't offend for my cmt....I was just playing and joking....I'm a fan too and in Italy they're known as "Stanlio & Ollio". I don't like the car as you understand reading my words.

Hi Giulio, thanks for commenting and ( Thats another nice mess you got me into ) as regards the car. On a more serious note Giulio i did crop the car originally but it took away most of the side of the building, with the bricked up windows and boarded windows. I only put the photo on to show the people what the old house originally looked like and what a fine piece of wall art now adorns it. Once again Giulio, thanks for viewing and funny comments ( i hope thats another nice mess that ive got out from...tommyt...PS, ive visited this place numerous times and there is always a car at the side,or at the front of the building.

I love the wall art and your photo of a very memorable duo, as for the car I would Clone Stamp it out and replace it with the cobbles and wall. It should be fairly easy. Or go back when the cars not there, it would be well worth it.

I love the subject and think on a brighter day it would be amazing, hopefully the car wont be there. I look forwards to seeing the result. All the best David
